Anyone know of a product that can be applied to marble to make it less slippery? Floor is in a casino so I need something that has a fast cure time. Thanks
It is not uncommon for marble to be slippery because of residues of cleaning agents left behind, especially if the floor gets wet.
It may help to clean with a cleaner meant for marble, not a general purpose cleaner. Use distilled water to help remove the residue. This alone can resolve the issue sometimes. You can test this in 100 sq. ft. If it works, do the entire floor. I like to try the simplest approach first.
I have used Trusty Step for about 10 years, it works really well, but the surface needs to be cleaned and maintained on a regular basis. Because it is an etching treatment, the micro pores can get filled with dirt and soil, etc.
We also have a non-slip crystallizer from Lozano in Spain. It works surprisingly well. You can refinish and polish like normal, then polish with this afterwards.
