Joe at Clean hub in Sacramento, rebuilt the General Pump, replaced the plastic hoses with high temp hoses and installed a splitter that deferres anything over 240 though a hose to the dumptank. my heat exchanger will quickly go from 140 to 300 and fry the seals in the pump. I have to put a load on the unit or wait as long as 30 minutes to get over 200. It got to 340 or so and the water didnt vaporize with the new modifications

Don't know what you have but why doesn't your water box have a temperature relief valve dumping to your waste tank.

For a General pump I believe you can buy a new pump for $100 more then the seal kit.

I have been talking to a pressure washer store here locally, and they were saying that a hose loop(on the pump head) would help me after I changed my dump to the waste tank valve to 165 degrees. He told me when not triggering the water will recirculate in the head of the pump and heat up passed 185 degrees in no time.

My only question with this theory if the pump always keeps pumping, does that extra pressure get recirculated to the water box on a Prochem Apex?

Small bypass hole keeps the water moving at all times. I built an electric pressure washer and used the loop he's referring to. I never set the tool down without water running. I didn't put anything for a temp dump on it.
