Here is something I threw together for everyone so they have a better understanding of video promoting.
This dosn't cover everything but should still help.

Video Promotion Tips
Video sites are happy to have our content, just as long as we are keeping our content user friendly and not spamming the system.
Spiders Are Your Friends If You Treat Them Right!
To prevent spamming video sites and search engines have spiders. These spiders are very smart they crawl your content and report back to the search engines and video sites what you are doing, how often you do what you do, who you are doing it with, etc.
In other words, remember you are being watched so stay honest or get penalized.
Top Five Must Do Tasks
1. Check your user agreement with the video site you use!
2. Watch video’s from the same or similar industries
This shows the spiders you are interested and engaged with your industry!
3. Comment and rate videos & channels from the same or similar industries
Interacting with others especially in the same or similar industries can go a long way in building credibility with spiders. Not to mention, you are leaving links to your channel every time you do it.
WHAT NOT TO DO!
Swapping comments, subscriptions, and ratings with others every time!
Copy and paste the same comments on multiple channels
Excessive un-natural activity will tell the spiders you may be a spammer.
4. Find Friends
Get as many friends as possible!
5. Build Play Lists
Spiders love organized play lists full of good, related content.
Building a play list is easy. Just find the videos you want and click the play list tab. The rest will be obvious. Be sure to utilize the play list title and description for best optimization.
6. Share and embed your videos, play lists and links on relevant sites
The more places your video content is, the more likely they will be seen and the more credible your content will be.
Don’t forget to embed your videos in your local listings!
