I was wondering if any guys on this board have a home unit they use to fill there truck.
I had a Rainsoft installed 20+ years ago and it has been rather good to us.

Early this summer after a regen I noticed to water in the bathroom (white corian sink) was a little gray in color, did a second regen. Happened again so I bypassed the unit, did not want to drink the water.
I called Rainsoft and they said that the tank back then was filled with carbon to help improve the taste then resin, and that the carbon was probably breaking down. That is why I am seeing the gray.
I did research and carbon in a water softener only truly last about 5 years, I think they should have notified anyone who had that type of tank.

The resin is lifetime warranty. Im trying to get my local dealer to give me my resin so I can refill my tank.

Anyone ever have any type of problem?

Thanks
