Three days ago two little and rather young, giants in our industry celebrated their Birthdays - Bill Yeadon and Barry Costa - and now today, a larger, taller, and older giant of our industry, celebrates his 77th.

Do you know who this gentleman is who had and continues to have such a great impact on our Industry ?

Happy Birthday big guy!

What you did and continue to do for this industry will never be forgotten.

You should know he lurks here JB.

Darth Vader can be a terrifying person to displease, and I assure you, he remembers more than I wish he did!

Happy Birthday Lee.

Thanks for your tireless work for our industry for so many decades.

....and thanks for raising such a great son to continue that work.

Thank you all for your kind words for my father.

There are a lot of insights about him I'd love to share, and why at 77 is still as hard working and bright as ever, but there are two that might be appropriate today.

1. Everything he's accomplished started with him being kicked out of his house by his stepfather at 18 with 20.00 in his pocket.

2. At 77 he still turns down various industry awards for the simple reason that he still doesn't believe he's done his best work yet. If there is any recipe for staying young and living long, that's it.

You have much to be proud of and grateful for and like your dad you've blazed your own path making a name for yourself.

What a great family and with deep roots in our industry. 8)

Thanks Richard.

I expect Marty to show up at any moment and burst this nice thread. Funny thing is, Marty would like my father, if for no other reason he still keeps me in line.

Lee is working on some interesting educational stuff right now that I hope we can introduce by years end or early next year. Having my "right arm" Jim Bane still out is slowing things down, but we'll get it done as soon as we can.
