WhiteMagic/ HydraGenie PTO shaft issue

Hello,
I'm running a HydraGenie PTO truckmount and recently I started hearing some rattling noise coming from inside the drive shaft enclosure while the truckmount is in operation. And some light grinding noise when it's not.
Does anybody know what the issue might be?

Is that shaft difficult to unmount/replace?

ANYONE that runs a shaft drive unit NEEDS a spare shaft...
number one......they're easy to put in and yor on yor way again! THEN fix the old unit and theres yor spare again.....
the shaft IS rebuildable IF you have the special bearing retainer that i built.......PLUS you'll need a bearing "installer" like this...

if you tear up the bearing race...it's STILL fixable but a LOT more expensive!

OH GEE.....look at that........i gots a "brand new" rebuilt one right here in my shop!

We Love Our Genie, Smooth as Butter, simple pressure adjusments that hold, blow the cold water out of the line and boom it's instantly 180. Got enough vac pressure to suck up a Pot Bellied Pig if ya wanted.

Just don't throw it in drive after a hard run and try to haul ass. Chevy dies once with in 20' then off we go no problems

Thanks for an advice Bob, now where is the best place to look for a spare shaft?
Also when fixing it, will I have to take the whole thing out, or does the shaft just slide out of the tube?

$150 machine work and balance

that $250 jus in parts alone....now go find one to rebuild........AND the knowledge of how to do it correctly....$100

which brings me to a grand total of $350 for a BRAND NEW DRIVESHAFT.......

i would never own a direct drive witout a spare to get me thru a repair......
