Ok, I've been using bulletproof sealer for a few years now but as much as I'm hearing about cobbs impregnator sealer.....I'm making a switch. Seems to me that you can't beat the price and it's a jam up product. Question is, what about countertops...granite, quartz & marble. When I go into a home I normally tell the customer I can clean and seal the countertops for a really good price and most of the time they jump on it. Would it be safe to say that cobbs sealer will do any and all rocks and stones, natural and man made?

We've done plenty of Granite with it but prefer to use Stone Pro if they'll pay

Not to rain on the latest fantastic product of the day, and I'm sure there's tons of anecdotal evidence that the product works as claimed, but I had to wonder why no one that specialized in the tile and stone biz used fluorochemicals.

I spoke with a Hanafinn (Dry-Treat) rep to ask if they'd ever considered fluorochemicals. They told me that they also loved the concept of having a more encompassing stain-resist treatment, but in their testing found that the carrier would penetrate, but the fluoro-molecules were too large and were mostly left on the stone or grout surface. In their testing they found the fluoro-treatment would last four to six months in a shower, and in outdoor areas in Hawaii and Florida had an effective lifespan of less than two months.

Ultraseal might be the best thing for grout since the concrete couch; just something to consider before throwing out all of your expensive sealers.

I'd take anything they say with as much salt as you need when talking Cobb...

With Larrys recommendation of testing against my current sealers I use, it was no match, not even close, in testing on absobant stones.

You have to match the sealer to the surface you are sealing.

This room got a heavier dose of it after I sprayed the grout lines in this ceramic tile. Mike says it'll look just fine after it dried. Any thoughts or experiences from how this cobbs dried on ceramic tile like this?

I think mike knows exactly what he's talking about. I'm just wanting opinions from east to west coast.

After I talked to Mike, I felt a ton better. Anytime I try a new product, I want to be prepared. It's not like I'm in a classroom experimenting. I wish I was

Did you mix it 4 to one like the label recommends?

    Looks a tad thin....

It doesn't say to mix 4:1 on the ultraseal impregnator. I sprayed it full strength

It came out GREAT! I need to quit stressing out over things like this. No residue was showing on the tile after it dried
