Any of you rice blower guys ready to trade up to a Royal?

Found this at a custy's home the other day. She said it use to belong to her mother. The daughter has been using it for 48 years now...

She mentioned that it has been in for service at least once that she knows of.

I would say it passed the test of time. Wouldn't you?

Try that with your rice blower!

That looks like the Royal Commercial I use every day. Same aluminum castings.

50 years and hardly a single design change. It might be a while before they come out with a dirt cup.

They are bulletproof but heavy and antiquated. I want one for beating area rug backing. They have some really aggressive beater bars.

They're aluminum or some lightweight alloy; not heavy if you change the bag regularly.

I like the Royal Commercial I've had for 6-7 years better than the Sanitaires or any other brand I've used.

Yes, Mike a dirt cup would be peachy.

I love the old Kirbys and Royals, they have cool lines, like a 40-50's car. Bulletproof too. Made before corporations began the policy of "planned obsolesence".

The only thing i yearn for about the 50's is the way businesses were run back then. mainly mom & pop's, local independently owned. Quality was king.

Take care,
Lisa
