I can tell you if I was using it my dog would not be laying there watching me use it. He would be upstairs licking his wounds from the beating he just got.

I don't understand what the problem is here. I think this is a great idea, a great product, being sold at a great price. I plan on recommending these products to my customers who have ongoing pet issues. As they say, people do business with people they know, like, and trust. What better way to build trust with a customer than to show them how to take care of an ongoing problem themselves. I want my customers to trust me when I tell them they should have their carpets professinally cleaned every (6 months, 12 months, 18 months) and have protector applied after each cleaning. I think caring about your customers is one of the keys to success in this business.

The flowbee didn't close any salons - this won't close any cleaners.

A great deal of how successful people will be with this is determined by the quality of the chems - in the immediate end results, and long term end results.

Customers also have to buy a shop vac to use this. If they cheap out, and most diy's are going to, they will end up with a walmart 2.5 gallon and those just don't have the lift.

A good shop vac is going to run them another $150+, and the chems run about $44 - 54 per 8 gal of rtu. Thats about what, 8 spots.

Your first round of use cost: $179 for the unit and an assortment of chems + $150 for a shop vac, $338 to do 8-12 spots. + the time, and fun cleanup of the tools afterwards. Let a few OCD HO's get a taste of the air the vac pumps out after it's used a few times and let to sit.

I'll be worried when Prochem offers a TM that the general public can afford inside a weeks paycheck :shifty: - to date just about every OTC carpet product creates a bigger problem longterm that we make $ on. Oxy, spot shot alone have made me tens of thousands in color correction/dye services.

And - IDC how good their chems are, the cat people out their won't find relief with this product. The product will not get it all out, won't seal the floor, won't replace the tack strip.

Sad to here it might be a patent infringement, that's never a nice thing. But jeez, no matter what a consumer gets influenced to purchase in an attempt to clean their indoor toilet who cares? In all the continuing requests I get for pet problems probably 1/2 of 1% are rare almost never repeated "accidents". I've found 99% habitual pet owners who are abusing the pet and not letting them outside or not training the stupid ones, or not training the stupid family members to care enough to let the pet out on a regular basis. Either way it's a stupid situation, in fact I talk about how stupid it is until most callers either fall on a sord or hang up. Mission accomplished....movin on......

Yea, I don’t get it at all. If Grandpa was pissing on the carpet they would find a new home for him real fast but they let the dog use the whole house for a toilet. Then they are concerned about the safety of my chemicals:madder:. I guess pet urine is totally organic and green (if you add a bit of blue).

After reading their bio it's the same 2 guys that invented the water claw. They created a new company and concept for the home owner. Brilliant idea as the pet market is a multi billion dollar a year business. I agree with some of you in that the person that is going to use this is the same person already using a Bissell or some sort of home remedy. I think that's it only going to educate the homeowner which is good for us and our industry.

I wonder how well built that spotvac is, ie as good as a spot claw? Kinda gives you a cheated feeling.
Then again, if the homeowner can keep down those pee spots, or flush them out, I don't need to spend hours flushing them out myself.
