How do I get this busted piece of brass out?........

Because brass is soft........the best extractor for the job is this style......

just tap it in there and turn.....screw drivers are not a good idea...

I use these had a1/4 inch brass break inside my STAINLESS steel feather touch valve on wand.

Cleaned garage out and can't find it anywhere. Home Depot said go to Sears they sell these. But they do work great.

Connor, the smallest one I could find was 1/2". Do they make a 1/4" version?

look ...go to a plumbing supply store and buy a tapered pipe easy out...
BETTER YET...take your piece in and they'll show you what you need

I've used the cam type extractors with limited success. They sell the brass craft brand at homedepot.

I did get it out......then it was a cluster*** trying to get the right part. Thought I had the right one, but actually I didn't. Interlink in Omaha didn't have it so they had the KC store send one. Got it today and I'm back up and running.

Next project......water box is getting too hot........need to troubleshoot.

Descale is often the cure. But it sounds like to you did.

You are rebuilding the Boxxer one part at a time, soon it will be Bawb new.

Dirk, any chance you swapped the primary and secondary orifices when you put the manifold back together? I believe that would return more hot water back to the waterbox than normal.

According to the manual, the smaller (0.033") orifice should go in the line to the waterbox, and the larger (0.063") goes in the line to the high temp solenoid on the way to the recovery tank.

No, I didn't swap.....Actually the water box was an issue before I started this last fiasco.

Descaling is what started this whole shitstorm. I dropped an orifice into the manifold and broke shit trying to get it.

what they don't tell you when you descale a machine is that you need to remove all filter screens and orifices before you start........if you don't then you start breaking all that crap up and clogging everything........

willing to bet you have a hidden filter or something clogged somewhere..........

I did remove the orifices. Not screens though.....not sure where they are actually.

Water box issue will probably need to go into the shop. Too many doodads for me to diagnose I think.

TNT or C4 is on the todo list within the year. This boxxer can become the backup.

The one I am working on broke the same way and used the extractor tool to pull it.

Also when you shut off the machine do you hear any water going into the waste tank?

Brass over time thins out and gets very weak. I wish the manufactures would use stainless connectors or offer an upgrade like the hp truck mounts. Every time you run descaler you weaken the brass. I've had a few pieces crack they got so thin and of course they break off when you go to replace them.
