A former MB moderator uses his connections and influence with MB members to work his way into the IICRC BOD. He supposedly wants to take it from the hands of the Dixie Mafia and other allegedly corrupt parties and turn it all around into something that we could all be proud of. Including Ed York's ghost.
He worked his way up to the top but according to everybody involved the organization is now worse than ever.
Nothing to show for three or so years but ownership of a scandalous building in Vegas that has yet to be used for anything of note.
150k wasted on trying to compete with Larry Cooper.
Failure to get test results back in anything close to resembling a reasonable amount of time.
No signs of legit online schooling to be offered.
Burned bridges everywhere including here.
Tony is a smart guy. I would hope there is a valid reason for all of this, but has the time come to call it quits?
Will ICRA take over or are their exams too difficult for the average technician to pass?

I lost all respect for Tony when he met privately to talk to me about my ride along program. When I wouldn't agree to be deceptive to the ride alongs he got mad at me. He said Canadians have to work much harder than Americans and I don't understand. I'm sure he is in the IICRC for himself, not to do good

Now that I think about it that may be true based on the evidence I've seen here.............Werner vacuuming for hours, Willy using a portable, etc.

Tony is my friend and I don't turn my back on friends. I don't know the whole story but I know Tony, his plan was to improve things. If it didn't happen it wasn't because he didn't try.

I think the situation is more complex than we know.
Tony can't be held responsible for every outcome that is decided by a board of directors. Having served (done?) my time on the IICRC Board, I can say that the chairman actually has very little power.
I hope for better outcomes for the IICRC as an organization, and Tony personally.
This has to be a difficult time for him, and I won't "pile on" while he's down...

I think we all know Mikey well enough by now to recognize when he is trying to flush someone out

When I went to connections way back in 03 ? Tony and I sat down and we talked. A real heart to heart talk about...........life. You see Tony grew up in Rhodesia (sp?) in Africa. He spoke about his childhood playing and just growing up amongst the wild life. Well one day Tony decided to go out.............alone........to play........ He liked to take his toy gun and pretend to shoot the animals. It was at that time when he was far from home that it happened. No one was around............... Suddenly from out of the bush they ...............came. There were about 15 of them. A group of gorillas or APES. They captured young Tony......took him out into the bush......where several of the silver back APES took turns raping little Tony.............while the rest of the APE group looked on. To say the least Tony was never the same after that. He never talked about it but he told me in confidence that I wouldn't tell anyone. Well now I am telling the story of why he hates APES. It is time for this to come out so he can HEAL. And now I wish the best for him in this healing moment. : )

I buy Jimmy's story 100% based on actual experience with apes and Tony and our shared room at a joe polish convention
A simple message to explain that he acknowledges our concerns, and will soon reveal what has been going on, hence the silence, would help his credibility.
I beieve that many of his long time friends would be extremely frustrated by his silence.
I know I have been more disapointed since he left my house a couple of years back on his first jaunt to Australia , Asia & other places on behalf of the iicrc.

LOL- That's my choice. I don't have to play my harmonica more than 3 days a week in front of the liquor store to make ends meet.
