Tinkle and tile, how would you handle odor issues on tile/grout?

Clients house smelled pretty bad, she knows they(old dogs) have gone on the tile at times.

So, I gave it some dwell time and blasted the poop out of it. When finished, I could still smell the urine. So, I'm crawling around on the floor and couldn't smell a thing. I believe it is actually coming from the carpet next to the tile. Has to be. However, the carpet is white as snow. Puzzling...

Anyways, how would you go about removing an odor issue from tile/grout? Just blast it? Deodorizers and dwell time? Sealing after?

p.s. What happened to my weekend... Stupid Monday!

Potentially the urine soaked into the grout deeper than you'll ever get a deodorizer.
Someone needs to crawl around with their nose to the ground to find that areas or areas so you can give them enough product to soak it over night.

And or look for other sources such as drywall, furniture, airducts, drapes etc

I've had good luck using OSR mixed very hot and let dwell on tile and grout for half hour preceding cleaning with Flex and Oxyblaster.

I wonder if all attempts fail .. maybe seal it in !! And for grout only on ceramic/porcelain I could see colorseal products being so thick it would trap it.

Have you ever tried to color seal around a toilet?

Getting it to stick right in front of the bowl is difficult due to urine saturation

Don't waste your money on expensive products. Tile can take bleach. Obviously don't let it run or get it on your hose. If you can't smell it on the tile the source is elsewhere. You can't kill it until you locate it. Check the baseboards. Maybe it ran under a baseboard. If lights come in real handy about now. Just because the carpet is white doesn't mean they didn't piss on it. Some dogs piss clear.

It's rare that an animal will only urinate in one room. Despite the color of the carpet, use an inspection light and check the place out. You'd be surprised how much urine contamination I find on furniture and drapes, as Mike mentioned, as well as what Gene suggested with the baseboards.

Had this issue with a customer last week. Cat and dog urine on the Tile. We took a UV light over the Tile before cleaning and could see it without it actually being noticeable. When finished the smell still lingered. Took the light over the base boards and even up the wall and urine everywhere.
