Stop by this winter and show me. I wonder if this would work for Nate too?

He blames me for making him buy a used Powerglide.

Like I told you, it works great on padded carpet with no glides... When you put the glides on, it raises the vacuum slots and the back wheels need to be adjusted/adjustable to level out the front... That stupid front wheel won't do shit (even though mines doesn't have one) because the front is higher...

I still consider you my uncle even though you told me to buy a boat anchor..... All I need now is a boat...

Cut the existing axle off and weld a new piece of 1/2 inch steel on the bottom of the old axle bracket. This lowers the wheels sown to where the heads will sit flat on the carpet. I'm using Lisa's glides and my wheels wouldn't adjust far enough down.

So what's the latest about the new Zipper with the spinning jets?

I really like the video Eric put on the site showing the maintenance and repairs. No other manufacturer does that. Classy.

And the quality of the build is top notch. Just a well thought out tool and a labor of love on Eric's side. It really shows.

Wouldn't mind having one of this zippers. :icon_razz:
For heavens sake Red Skippy. Just buy one. You've been talking about it ever since the fat lady sang.

And she's been singing the blues lately. When she does country, I'm telling you, that's it :winky:

If you sold your zipper jr, what makes you think the Zipper SS is any different? And you said you only clean lightly soiled carpets.......

Here is a cut and paste about the SS I did a while ago...but also, we have a couple good accounts Sunday and Monday that I will be able to really get some perspective on it....Been using it but more on a limited basis I am finding....but here is the quote from before....

Well, here are my thoughts...but again, I have only been using it a couple of days....

I would not wait for this version to come out if you are wanting a Zipper actually....

I think this is going to be a specialty unit and build, and the current Zipper cleans great.

The only place I have seen this maybe clean a little faster was on a couple of small things that the heat just seemed to stay in the chamber a bit better....

But, one of the downfalls, is it will take a large Truckmount and also, you will be having your pressure cranked up on your water pump all the time...

If you were doing all grease pits and maybe only that....this could be a great unit, but then, I just am not sure you would be using it all the time like we are using the current Zipper.

The hard thing is going to be putting this one into production I think and Erik be able to make any money off of it for quite sometime....

It is a more expensive piece to make....

I talked with Erik yesterday, and we discussed this....

I seriously would still probably want both my regular Zipper and would have a spinner...but I think the Spinner would sit around at times more than the regular Zipper for me....

So, those are my thoughts at this time....

If you or anyone are holding out for a Zipper and just waiting for the Spinner....I WOULD NOT WAIT....I WOULD BUY A ZIPPER NOW and enjoy everything we are enjoying with the current Zipper model everyday....

DON'T WAIT....Get yourself a Zipper now.....

As I get older, I try to keep an open mind. It keeps the Alzheimer away.
You should encourage that tendency, Noobs :winky:

As I said on many posts, I think the Zipper is a great tool, that shines particularly in large open spaces.
I did not like it for small places with furniture, which is the majority of my work. Gene and Mark like it there too, which shows you that it is all about personal preferences. But then Mark cleans with three vans to the door, which means that some of these people got to do something :winky:

You'd have to shoot me to use the zippy in small spaces and for that you may need to contact Larry C. On the other hand, if I did large commercial spaces, I'll buy it again in a heart bit. This time the 15"

I'm sure a 47 blower would be fine if you are running it at 15hg and have 2.5" hose. Heat is what I'd be more concerned about. Most trucks will have a very hard time sustaining good heat at the tool with that kind of continuos flow. I'll be buying the 17" in the next little while. First I need to finish my TM build.

I wouldn't want a 17" Zipper. Too many floors are uneven and you'd find yourself not keeping a seal on the carpet very often. This even happens more than we like on the 15".

Boy, I did not know you were stalking every single purchase I make.
Scary.

Kind of crazy you mentioned the heat thing as today I was getting good heat with 12 flow and Butler High Heat....so I shot this video

240 plus at the truck....was cooking steam inside....but it was at a crematorium...and they were cooking a lot for the past week I was told.... :eekk:

Was super hot in there! Don't want to get into more detail....but was full of surprises :eekk:

Mark, how often do your temperature gauge sensors burn out? I've seen you post temperature readings more than once. My sensors usually last a few weeks, then die and I've quit replacing them. Never know our temps but these hi heat Butlers are really hot.

Did you get your new Butler yet? My newest is 5 years old now but still runs great.

About 3 years I would guess now that you mention it....

Have had to replace the one on out 08 (put in service in July 2009) I think maybe twice....

My 2011 put in Service Jan 2012 I think is original yet
