What an odd thing to put on his "prepare for cleaning" page:

HOW FAST WILL MY CARPET DRY?
Your carpet will be dry to the touch when the technicians leave your home. Dry to the touch can be defined by wiping a paper towel across your carpet fibers and it will come up dry, if you stood on the paper towel moisture would still be present.

Man those guys are sharp. Turn the tables and make it look like its for their benefit.

It is pretty gross though if you think about it as a carpet cleaner, I would rather vacuum myself(as a home owner)then have a piss soaked brush comb through all my fibers..

I had a customer comment "you are going to vacuum, right? My son cleaned carpet in California and he said any pro service will have a vacuum,so don't worry about it."

So I busted out my almost brand new Bissell and she said "well my vacuum is better then that".. I told her that I run into a lot of jobs that there is urine in the carpet and if I run into a job like that I can just throw the vacuum away..
Then I asked did your son have two vacuums on his truck or just run the same nasty vacuum over all his customers carpet?

Oh, you're a snob now?
Martin you know me by now. I've always been one. ;)

Actually we see very little urine projects. Price & thorough explanation of their problem usually leads them to new carpet or another cleaner. Most people want to pay for a band aid not corrective measures.

Snob? Hellll we clean up dirty, filthy, disgusting projects that most others would pass on. Butt we are paid well for it. :winky:

You know, I've never cared anything about meeting him, but I would like to meet his wife.

Just to get a good understanding of what kind of idiot would be married to him.

Personally, for me, I pass on any website like this.....too much blowing your own horn. Cleaners can have a great website, but don't clean any better than others. I'd move on to one that is more directly to the point.

That's just me.

I think its because you are a cleaner, we get tired of hearing about other cleaners.

But its the best way for the client to inform the client who you are and what you do. This way he/she can make an educated purchasing decision.

I prefer telling all I can on the website or Facebook. You have a captive audience and for those that care to stay more than a few seconds, it give them the opportunity to research your company well.

Unlike a phone call where you don't get the chance to say all you want because they can't wait to get you off the phone.

... compete with this guy?

That is one heck of a website.
I guess I'm a little behind on this thread. He does have a good website and saturates the area with coupons. Apparently they do not vacuum. We make it a point not to comment on other business's with our customers and will keep to that here as well. We do vacuum because if we didn't Marty would no longer talk with us...... Maybe we need to rethink vacuuming. Why does everyone give Marty such a hard time?
