Friggin' GMC fuel pumps!&$(%*(*)*_(%$%*+$!!#$%

This is REALLY getting old. 2010 GMC Savana Van will be getting it's 5th fuel pump in 5 years. I am so sick of this. At least GM will pick up the tab but the downtime sucks. Plus my guys hate taking out our old backup truck with no A.C. on hot summer days.

My most dependable GMC Butler van is 19 years old and on its original fuel pump. Yikes!

Could the problem be with the fuel filters also?? Maybe they need to be changed more often-- especially if you using a PTO TM.
Or the fuel tanks at your favorite gas station are Old or have issues??
Just a thought--??

I think Saiger had the same issues. Crappy wiring from Mexico i think. Try to get an aftermarket performance pump or you'll be back next year. I did that with mine and never had another problem.

The last gmc oem replacement lasted me three days. I still had an old one in my truck so i replaced it on the side of the road. Got me home but wouldnt buy another one.

I've talked to several GMC van owners who have all had the same issues including Mark Saiger so I don't think it's my gas station or fuel filter issues.

They have been clueless. Even blamed me. But, GM knows they have a serious problem that needs to be addressed. I hope it's solved this time.

Yes, they reimbursed us over 2k for the 2 times it has happened out of warranty and they say they will cover all costs even tows for 10 years.

When I was shopping for a new car recently I was appalled at how many cars had parts made here and then there and assembled who knows where. I had one criteria.................all made in Japan..............so I bought a Subaru.

Updated wiring harness clip in... Make sure your mechanic is getting oem and with update... So far so good. And I got back $1900 from GM recently
