Pat or anybody in Sapphire.
I really like and use the One Earth line. Very good products.
The one earth "Carpet cleaner and rinse" is Wool Safe and so is the "Rug and upholstery cleaner" which is acidic.

  1. Can the carpet cleaner, since it starts as an alkaline, converts to acidic and self neutralizes- be used as an upholstery rinsing agent on natural fibers?
  2. Does the Rug & upholstery cleaner has a detergent (some cleaning ability) beside being an acid rinse?
  3. Will the carpet cleaner remove more soil as a rinse than the Rug & upholstery cleaner?
Thanks

Hi Ofer,
Glad to hear you like the OneEarth line
To answer your questions
1. Yes you could use it on natural fibers
2 there are no surfactants in the product but the product mimics what a surfactant does
3 I have never tested them side by side but I would think the carpet cleaner would perform a little better

Hope that helps

Hi Pat,
You answered my question:
  • Does the Rug & upholstery cleaner has a detergent (some cleaning ability) beside being an acid rinse?
  • There are no surfactants in the product but the product mimics what a surfactant does
Does that mean that when used as a rinse, the "rug and upholstery" cleaner will leave the fabric less wet than the "carpet" cleaner and or is less likely to go into padding material. Or is it about the same due to thinness of upholstery fabrics?
