How many TM users take in the vac hose and solution line together?

Our guys take both the vac and solution lines in at the same time. I am not sure when it started here but everyone does it that way now. They will pull both lines off the reel at the same time and while spinning, wrap the line around themselves. If it's a long run, they look like the Michelin Man. As they make their way into the home, they will spin around and deploy the hoses.

It looks kinda funny but they get the hoses laid out fast with no kinks and no dragging the hoses over the lawn, around corners etc.

One tech carries in the vacuum & begins to vacuum. They other carries in the solution hose. Once the solution hose is setup you know how much vacuum hose to bring in. While it is more time consuming I wouldn't want to scare the client.

If you do vacant's or apartments or condo's I can see where the arm full wouldn't matter but in a nice home I think you risk damaging something when loaded down like John is. Not saying you are wrong John. You're wrong John! :winky:

do ya tab it while it sits there.....
while you go find the prespray in the other room........

Yep first thing we do is pull it out to the middle to vacuum & clean behind. We put sticky tabs on it while its easy to access the back legs. Then you can move it anywhere you want with no worries.

Bawb a set trap for me but I ruined his fun when I whipped out sticky tabs on him!

Not to be beaten he is trying to convince me we drag dirt on the tab onto the clean carpet. LOL

Give up bawb! Say Uncle...SAY IT!!!

We keep our hoses separated....

We pre sticky tab everything or have styro blocks ready.

We will prespray everything we can (which with 2 vans on site is most of the place)

and sticky tabs act like the sliders for us on moist carpets....

Our vac hose comes in last....

BUT...if it is super cold out....then we have to bring our high pressure line in last after heating it up outside....we just have the vac hose coiled inside after we have the correct length in the home...

I don't like having my hoses together because I like to be able to prespray maybe some areas that I didn't do right away, and hate having to undo the hoses or the 2 are strapped together and I have to drag both...

Yeah, AFTER VACUUMING IS DONE. By the time one guy gets through properly vacuuming, the other guy will be halfway through cleaning.

But back to the point, I don't care which is pulled in first or second. It serves no functional advantage one over the other.
One advantage is that you don't have to kick the vac hose around as you are pre spraying....
