Had a job this summer, guy wanted his office done at 4 pm on a weekday. I thought it was going to be a strip mall office I could blast through with my TM. Turned out to be a PIA 7th floor office. His Coworker was left there and just wanted to know "how long is this gonna take?" I was just going to decline the job once I saw what it was and how long it would take to set up a portable, get the OK from security etc, then I remembered I had some Ecapuclean Green and thought I would give this a shot. I loaded up a carry bag with a red ped and a few cotton bonnets and a quart bottle of the encapsulate concentrate and brought up my 3601 with a pad driver attached and a pump sprayer and took the elevator up the 7 floors all in one trip. I sprayed down the encrap, ran the red pad, then bonneted everything. I cleaned the whole office of 3 rooms lobby and hall and was done by 5 o'clock, instead of the 7 o'clock it would have taken to steam clean. spots and traffic lanes cleaned up great including the coffee spills in the eating area. Just thought I'd share this magical moment.

Yes...I need the lightness of the 360i because of my back.
You won't be sorry performance wise. I believe the 360i is the lightest rotary extractor out there at, I believe, 39 lbs, though it can still be a bit tiring with enough up and down steps. The results, however, are worth the effort. Congratulation on your new tool!

what size bonnets/pads do you use for the RVi?

15?
12" pads will work (either red or white) and you can sometimes get them cheap on sale, but the 13" work the best as they go to the wall. I have found 13" pads for $1.55 each at webstaurantstore.com. Bonnets are 13" also.

Did the (small) motor on the 360i bog at all as the carpet dried?
Motor doesn't bog or heat up at all no matter how many hours I run it. I carry a spare 360i in the back of the van because I rely on it every day, but I have only had to use the spare a couple of times because the frame can break at the welds, but the motor has never failed. I changed out the brushes after 2000 hours on my main unit.

Art have you tried an XL, or see any reason to?

I wouldn't get one for the same reason I wouldn't get a Hoss or a Mytee Trex: they can't do stairs which I encounter on most of my jobs and the 360i knocks them out of the ballpark no matter how bad they are. There really is a wow factor when you can renew a badly matted and trashed staircase with the 360i; like nothing I have ever used.

I have that head, and don't care much for it. The pressure spinning things work real well for me on tile and grout.

What don't you like about it? And which one do you have? One of them has a vacuum ring around ot?

The 360i isn't heavy enough for tile and grout. I suppose it's okay for those small squares in public bathrooms, but not so good for larger tile with deeper grout lines.

Gotcha. We have an account that we do, 13 stores monthly, carpet and tile. The tile is larger but it is well maintained obviously :), but if it won't work well on dirtier tile jobs, its not worth getting as it is easy to pull out our turbo for sure. I was hoping the agitation of the 360 would be good on other jobs as well.....oh well! I guess I will hold off on that one. Thank you for the "heads" up! Hahaha!

360i cleaning stairs.

Some people like the stair head specially designed for the 360i to clean stairs with. In most cases you can use the standard 12" cleaning head with your 360i to clean stairs depending on the depth of the stair tread.
