Ive heard you can crack a pipe by leaving your hose connected to a spigot. Im thinking this set up might be helpful !! Keeping the water moving may prevent freezing !!

It's the pressure from freezing that causes the pipe to break. Just flow as little as you need to keep it from freezing.

I'd invest in a water tank just for winter and pull it out if you don't want it the rest of the year.

Yes, that would keep it from freezing. But I simply put a quick connect on there and pop the hose off when I'm done using it. Saves water too. I walk the water out of the hose so it doesn't freeze in the hose too.
But, I had a hose bib put in my garage this year. No more of that frozen crap to deal with.

I'd have to get a larger fresh tank cause trying to figure out when I'd have to go back out and hook up again would be a pain. Not to mention something freezing - spigot or hose unless I drain the hose. And I don't wanna run the pump dry. Yeah - bigger winter tank !!

Once you get a freshy, you'll never go back! I had to use the Thermalwave for a few days in place of the new Pro1200, and with no fresh waterpond, I'm frustrated! Hope to be back on the road with Pro1200 by Wednesday.

What's wrong with your pro1200?

Ive never had my water hose freeze while cleaning in winter climates. It doesnt take much flow for a spigot to not freeze.

It was FREAKING .. last year on the worst cold days we had. cant remember the temps.
Ive cleaned in -20 and never had my garden hose freeze. Only way it will, is if you stop for a minute or two. We are more at risk at having filters or pumpout lines freeze up

if you have to hook up in the winter, try to hook up inside the home, and run warm / hot water to the van tank. by the time it gets to the van it might be cold anyways.
Tip - the rubber lines (good year, continental) are alot more flexible in cold temps and don't kink as easily.

you run a large risk of freezing your fill lines if:
A. You hook up to outside spigot, and run 100 ft or more of water line.
B. If you hook up and don't catch the point your water line stops flowing water to your fresh water tank
C. If your directly feeding the machine from the home and stop for more than a min or 2 in cold temps.
D. If you run your water line threw a snow bank
E. if you need 55 ft of water fill line but you leave the other 45 ft laying on the ground instead of sticking the excess in your van.
