I use 2 spring clamps and a bungee cord. I place a spring clamp on each hook of the bungee and then run the bungee around or through the handle of the blower.- I use this for Rugs and seems to hold better.

that seems like a good way to tear some carpet if it lets loose and flaps...................never seen anyone do it on the blower.............but I've seen plenty that flapped on the tackless and ended up fubar

what a great idea did you glue it on or screw it on. I will have to do that . thanks for the Idea!!!
Screwed on. Been on my two snails for over 20 years. Never damaged any carpets, it isn't gonna flap. Lift the back of the blower up and use the weight as it goes down to pull it tight. I always folder the carpet over and then slide the snail under. It has never let go. Keep in mind I don't do floods but I do a/c leaks and other small floods. They stay in for 3 days. I've seen the flapping your talking about and that won't happen at least and the fan end.
