So I've been testing this product out for over a month and I can honestly say it's great.
You can check the temp from your phone, computer, tablet, etc.

you can setup alarms for temps, humidty levels, if it goes offline, when it comes online.

You can have it call you, text message you, email you, or sent your a tweet.

I'm very happy with this product.

It's nice to know about products like this. I would love to get a bigger truck without having to get a shop to keep it in. But obviously being in Colorado, it always worries me about my truck freezing up. When I get a new truck and machine package I definitely will be getting something bigger so I have room to move!
I see all these box trucks, transits etc and I know that I cannot go any other way!

Wow, Kellie.....nice place to live! I lived in Aurora from Oct 71 till March 72, while at Lowry AFB in training. Me and my HS Sweetheart! About 100 yards from the Stapleton fence, right on the N/S runway. We had a blast and would have stayed there if I didn't have a job to come home to after the AF. (General Motors).

Scott, I assume if your house loses power this device won't be able to notify you of a low temp alarm (since it uses your home's wifi to communicate), but you would be notified that it went offline. Is that right?

And if you lose power how would you heat your van?! Honestly I can't recall losing power in all my years here but it certainly can happen.

Exactly. Say you were out of town on vacation, and got a notification that the unit had gone offline. You might assume your house had lost power, the heater(s) in the van weren't working, and the TM was slowly freezing to death. You might be able to have a neighbor, relative or employee head over there and start the van to keep everything from freezing, or at least call someone to see if the power was really out.

Of course if you were going out of town hopefully you winterized the van anyway....

that is correct. when the online program looses connection with the unit i have it setup to let me know. That way i know in a worse case scenario that the power went off, and i have x amount of time to find out why if it doesnt come back on in x amount of time.

i know this works as far as letting me know when its offline, because every time i drive away it emails me and tells me the unit is offline because im no longer connected to my internet when im driving to mrs. piffs house.

I built our building the first year we started in business, never had to deal with the freezing issue.:) I keep the building temp at 65 degrees, if the furnace went out it would take a couple of days before anything froze.
