Showed up for 2 pm appointment.... :eekk:

Would have taken me 3 hours just to pick up and get to the carpet.... :hopeless:

How about if we give you until tomorrow morning to maybe tidy up...

Mark, do you do confirmation calls the day before or send out email reminders listing what you need them to do in preparation for you? I imagine you do, so I'm curious how this happened?

I actually stopped in and look at this one yesterday.

I asked him do you really think you will be ready for me tomorrow?

It was about twice as bad yesterday as we just saw today... Lol.

I tried to even talk him out of cleaning this carpet.. He saidjust as long as there's no holes in it is not replacing it.

I have a feeling I know what to expect tomorrow but at least they might be out of my way.

This is one of those landlords we only clean for about once every two years. But it pays full, full price!

You serious Mark? I don't see your point...that is not bad at all. 3 hours to move those items? It's just a few wood pieces and a couple of power tools... Toss everything in the kitchen and turn on your vacuum cleaner.

I've seen much worse than this, where you really can't see the carpet from the old McDonald's bags, underwear, newspapers, magazines, old bills in envelopes, doggie beds, kids toys, beer can collection crushed, boxes of whatever, brother in law's KTM front end....and so on.

Yeah, I would have had all that in the kitchen by the time my helper set up.. I do charge extra if its like that though, and list it separately on the invoice.. I find it happens less after they see the extra charge.:icon_twisted:

If anything, it's less work to move those few things out of the way, than moving a set of 6-8 dining chairs twice, coffee table, two end tables, gramp's armchair, the coat/hat rack by the front door, that WILL fall over when one of the hoses get hooked etcetera.

Well....actually all the mess I would have had moved in 5 minutes and been whooping A$$ on the place....

Main problem was not pictured.....the people!

Couldn't get them out of the way for nothing!!!!! :madder:

They told me they might be gone tomorrow when I show up and a check will be on the counter....

I am being very prepared.....I have a shovel!

But wait...Here is my favorite. "Which room will you start in and we will start clearing that room out". I always answer them "we take over the entire area we are cleaning because we are here to work. Could we remove everything including laborers so we can get to the nitty gritty?" :)
