If i Agitate with a rotovac cgd head and then come back with a wand, Would that be more efficient? I currently use the standard head and then come back with the wand to make the shark pattern, and more dry passes..

Use the brush head for an all in one aggitation/extraction and dry pass.


Then come back and trim your corners, edges, under furniture then give the whole room one more quick dry pass. Use the lightest wand possible for this step.

Is this the head you are talking about? Except probably with metal standard glides are typically on it....

And what kind of cleaning machine are you using with it (TM, portable, brand of unit?)

Are you just going for a "look"? Meaning you, or they, don't like the marks left y the rotov. Or are you after a more efficient extraction?
Mark, that looks like it would be the bomb. Question for you. Since you run TMs(Butlers) Would running it without triggering accomplish the dry pass , and more quickly than changing to a standard scrub wand.

Believe it or not , I still use the original 2 head with my porty. I use less h20 than I would with a wand. I only use it on trashed ones.

No, it is an original from when they first came out.
After I got it, direct, I took it in to my distributor here in town to show them.( And they are large,and good people who I always patronize) They were not carrying . Told em it was a winner. They po pooed it. Said all the feedback they got was that it used too much solution.
I just feather it on the extraction. Utilizing the agitation.

Got the same feedback whey I started using OP. They did not carry any absorbant bonnets. And their eyes glazed over when I asked for them. Had to special order some!!!

the i and XL are a much better tool IMO.


but don't get me wrong it will clean carpet.

We do dry passes all the time with any cleaning unit we are using.

So if we are using a Rotovac will typically do a couple wet passes of Cleaning and then we will go over it with the Rotovac dry passing. We rarely will wand out a carpet after using the Rotovac but we do groom our carpets after we are done.

We have done some testing even going over the carpet with our zipper since it has a clear tube and we are not seeing much if any more water even after using the Rotovac 360 XL.

We also run our butlers on high speed when we are cleaning carpets and on idle speed when doing upholstery. We rarely if ever use the medium setting.

We try to get the maximum performance out of everything we can you would say.

So far on the 360 XL we like them with the brush head. Metal shoes without the brush.. Have an all Teflon head getting ready to try on certain situations...

No, stick with the metal ones unless you use the brush head.... The teflon glides you lose a lot of agitation.... I have 4 OG twin head RV's, 1 RV360, 1 RV360i... I've got a set of Green Glides on the old RV360 and they get chewed up from the tackless strip... I've even got the glides for the OG RV twin heads too... Lose agitation but gain dryness...

I'm very good at getting really close to wooden and metal thresholds, Z bar tucked edges, tiles, and don't fk them up.... But you still need to trim the corners and some edges...
