I use it all the time, I keep thinking I want to replace it with a needle valve like I have on my Hoss but have yet to do so. If a carpets only slightly soiled I cut it back, Where as if its trashed I run with it wide open.

We replace them with a needle valve to dial in the water flow.

It does affect the dry times.

I have used it when I needed to rebuild my trigger... The trigger wouldn't stop spraying water, so the ball valve was handy in a pinch....

When my power switch went out, I tied the 2 wires together to finish up the job and replaced it with a momentary switch like on the Sanitaire vacuums.... 1 click on, 1 click off... I do have a pig tail at the tool end so I plug in the extension cord to the wall, then lean back the tool and plug it in.... Only down side is you don't know what off and on is if you accidentally bump it... That's why I do it they way I do... You can also turn it down to 1 on the speed control if you want... Works for me...

Always use it. Like my portables tank to last a good amount of area. I literally only just crack it open. Just.... open.

Carpets dry fast and pressure and heat are good.

Justin,
Why do you have both Hoss and Rotovac?
When do you use each tool and why?

I'm the type of guy who has to try everything so I had a 360i and then the hoss came out so I decided I wanted to try that. Then when the xl came out I bought that. In all honesty I use the Rotovac most of the time. It has a few features I like a little better although the hoss is probably a little better built.

I wanted to go cow tipping, but then a southern girl told me it's just a myth as is Snipe hunting...... Just about took all the fun out of my imagination.......

Theyre great long lasting valves. But Id have it on the hose and at the mount. Used to release pressure for the switch over.

I can't believe we're reading a thread about a Ziptie over a ball valve. Is it just me, or do we need to get a life?
