I've been using 17" Microbeast 2 and they just barely cover the 17" driver. Do you guys typically go a size larger?

Hey Lyman,
I checked your order. You ordered the Blue ones, not the Scrub bonnets. I'll make the adjustment for you. :)

Those are the same bonnets that we sent as samples. We hadn't heard any comments about their wear prior to sending the samples. Now that 2 customers have commented on premature bonnet wear, we've decided to move to a different bonnet manufacturer. We'll lose a lot of money over this, and frankly it's a little bit embarrassing that the bonnets aren't holding up as well we anticipated. But I want to try to do what's best for our customers, so discontinuing these bonnets is the only option I feel comfortable with.

On a rotary machine you'll normally you want to run your bonnets at least 2 inches larger than your pad driver. Measure across your driver, then add at least 2 inches of surplus. That will give you and extra inch all the way around your pad driver. An extra 2 inches works perfect for a rotary machine. On an orbital machine you'd realistically want to increase the over-sizing even a bit further in order to give you a little extra wiggle room.

2 inches could be a really big deal or deal breaker.
