What type of hose would you use to make a lead hose to be the first or closest to the TM?

I want to make 3 or 4 about 7 feet long to make the first connection to the TM.

Parflex with out a doubt..

Cooler, stronger and no black death explosions
Gotta get Larry to give me a per foot price on this hose without the crimps. LARRY do you hear me now??!!!! Jk, i called them yesterday about the hose and talked to Ike, very nice man. Joked around with them a little. Its pricey but black death could be pricier.

I get this locally, .75/ft. No issues, superflex and holds heat well.

Why do you want a 7 foot lead hose, I've never heard of that?

I want to use as a first section, that way if it ruptures, I can just grab another and keep on cleaning.

I use a 135 foot first section that will normally get me to most places on a job, but if that springs a leak I have to unhook the whole hose and start all over again. Now you see why I want several short sections.

Now, back to the original question.
We like a section of wire-braid blue hose right at the machine ;
since it can withstand 275' temps from high-temp HX's.

I have a bunch that I got with my TM from you, so I guess I will take it to the hose shop and have them cut and make me several sections for this.

I like the idea of having a short section on the leed hose. Makes it easier to disconnect quickly. Or add a ball valve to each hose.

If your having a high failure rate closest to the Truckmount, I would try the 3/8 hose as mentioned above that will handle the initial spike that is possibly causing the premature failure.

I had one on my Zipper awhile ago... The QD will beat the sh!t outta your ankle, at least mine did.... I use a 25' of Goodyear then I add my 100' parflex after that... Seems to work fine for me and my #4LG heater...

he means closest to the truck, not the tool. That's where most ruptures happen because of the extreme heat. A good setup is to have your lead come off your heat source and attach a ball valve and a bleed hose. That way you have the ability to bleed out the air before you start cleaning. It's also a good idea to have a cold water hose as well. Years ago, I was being lazy and wanted to fill a small bottle of enzyme from the truck. The bleed hose slipped in my wet,soapy hands and the 250 degree solution it my hand and tore all the skin off. I immediately turned on the cold water tap I had installed and cooled the burn down and finished the job. Later, my wife made me go to the doctor and when he looked at it, he said that was the right thing to do. He dressed it and it ended up healing with no scars.
