The Bonzer now has 7 spray jests! 5 facing forward and 2 facing back. Extra flushing... better cleaning.

So ya can polish a turd? :winky:

j/k

Seriously I'd have to try it.

I tried the first version and was not impressed. Its not that it didn't work it did. However as a Zipper owner it didn't compare to the Zipper.

I guess the thing it will never have is a vacuum slot on the forward and the backward directions. This is a better bonzer than the original one I saw. Some feedback from guys using it at Mikeyferst would be nice.

I see the point of attachment has shifted aft of midships, where it was in Atlanta. Why only one recovery slot, though?

From what I can see, if it only has 1 vacuum slot, then you can only flush and recover in one direction. That is the advantage of the Zipper. It flushes and recovers on both front and back strokes. You would have to think that it would leave the carpet both cleaner and drier.

Man I hate leaving a negative review. But to be honest, I am not impressed. I love Rotovac, the 360i and XL. The upholstery tool is very good.
But the Bonzer is not ready for prime time. It feels like a reverse engineered zipper that missed a few steps. The front stroke is fine, but the back stroke skips. It just feels too light.
The next step, of course, is to add a weight plate. But then how close does it have to mimic a zipper before it's just silly?
If this was 1996, it would be revolutionary.
The evolution of the Bonzer, in my opinion, basically makes it progressively more like the zipper. Almost as if to give the illusion of an evolving prototype rather than a direct copy.
The rear facing jets cancel out the shearing effect you get on the back stroke of a zipper. That is valuable on residential carpet that needs to dry fast.
Not trying to make waves. But that is my honest opinion.

It's ironic, I don't know Erik from a hole in the ground. My only experience with the Zipper is watching mostly Marks videos. I also watched Eriks video on how it was constructed. I have been in the business long enough to recognize quality tools that I would like to own and use. Even though the Zipper is about $1000.00 more than the Bonzer, I would purchase a Zipper. Probably going to be my next tool, even before a Rotovac 360 xl. Maybe I can get a good deal on a demo unit in Vegas.

If you strap rockets to a turd, it only becomes a turd with rockets on it.

Will it go up, sure it will, but would you rather be in a ship or in the turd.

And 1500 dollars is straight laughable of a price. Just ridiculous.

Just the fact they used left over 360 handles for the unit shows hey don't know or understand what that is going to feel like after cleaning 10000 sqft pushing that plow design as while it is comfortable for a swing machine it is very uncomfortable to push forward.

It has a front and rear vac slot. Exactly like a zipper
Guess I was wrong then. This is more of a Zipper copy than I thought it was. The part that bothers me about the product is it is taking money off the table from a genuine Innovator who came up with a product that has changed the game. Rotovac is going to add the weight and because they are better marketers than Erik and already in all the Carpet Cleaner Stores, will eventually own the category that Erik started. They will do it with an inferior product... seems wrong. I'm going to buy the Zipper and the Zipper SS and skip the rotovac XL.

Rotovac ordered a zipper from Erik months before the Atlanta show. And the head dimensions are exactly the same.

Is there a patent on rotary extraction tools still in effect?

On the video, it looks like only one vacuum slot on the rear. It is not apparent that there is one on the front as well but if there is, now with the wheels and maybe a little weight, it is a cheap Zipper. Although Rotovac is near me, I would rather say fook off and buy the right machine from Erik. Not everyone thinks with his wallet. I don't shop at Walmart for much the same reason. I like a deal as much as the next guy but I like good quality much better. My only decision is, regular Zipper or Super Spinner.
