If you are feeding it 170 degree water it does help kick it up a notch. I was using 6 flow at the time. TM 6 flow not porty 6 flow. If running a porty get a little giant. You are not going to heat ice cold water with 1500 watts. Its hard to make any money unless you have a good machine IMO. Portables are for part time cleaners and high rise IMO

Portables are for where the truck mount can't go.

hell, isn't a wand heavy enough, back-n-forth, room to room? Think you need 20 more degrees? Put a real 1800-2000 watt heater close by on wheels or a cart. I'm riddled with tennis elbow and wrist, no freaking way I wound recommend even to a poor bast... starting out to bolt 10lbs of additional weight to a wand. Easy to buy down on 20-30 degrees of heat (and ditch a heater) with good detergent and dwell time.

Being so close to the jets has got to help limit the heat loss. Remember Porty users are tough and will spend many many thousands of dollars to make their porty a TM.

It could be done, and then you could sell the conversion kit to convert from the Coleman can to a 30# tank that the cleaner could carry on his back. Porty guys are tough---I am surprised @Willy hasn't already done this...

what makes you think he hasn't done this already? Actually Lee's idea has potential maybe. Ladies have fuel fired curling irons for travel and camping, not a far stretch to make a fuel fired wand. Can't stroke too fast or you will blow the pilot out. Gotta be careful cleaning around curtains, wouldn't want to set the house on fire.

The most heater amperage I've ever run was two 3250 watt kleenrite heaters and a 1500 watt bucket heater. So that's 8000 watts of heater. It was a challenge to get thw outlets but it were warm......

The weight is light. But what about the temp increase? That's the whole reason for this thing. And the Youtube video that's on that page is stupid. The dude isn't even pulling the trigger on the wand.

Is there anyone out there who's tried it?

I wish it was battery power! I dream that one day these tools can all be battery powered! I hate electric cords.

It's a great idea. We all understand that a single cord heater won't keep up with a steady flow but it is a help when you learn to use it properly. Not having to heat whatever length of hose as well as your qd's, will definitely give you more heat on the carpet. Have to make sure you don't electrocute the carpet cleaner.
