With this setup, can you do a first pass with the feed valve wide open at a decent pace without the solution flow being too much or is it not enough where you have to slow your pace down or feather the solution trigger?

Its going to vary from carpet to carpet and soiling conditions.

Some carpets fully triggered and you may still need to slow down. Other times you may need to trigger and release, so you are not dropping too much or running to keep up with it.

Go to a hardware store and get one of those white plastic hose reduction things to connect plastic pipes. To reduce the flow as you hold open the valve full throttle. Then you have no need to feather the solution on and off. I hope that makes sense?

I can imagine a white pad doing much of anything on soiled carpet
They don't, bought a case because I was apprehensive of red being to aggressive. Grey/Micro Blue stripe Bonnet cleaned better.

Excellent supply sells pads for 175 made for encaping. Jon don might have them also. Same as the Champaign we use on the Cimex.

We use a 175 when we are in a jam or as a back up for large commercial jobs. People like to mess up the cords on the cimexes.
