This is a little off topic but yesterday I was up at my fabricators shop and noticed he had several pallets of these Ss @ 5 gallon containers. I am going to take a few to see how I might be able to make them work for storage of things....dry chems, rags or whatever.
They were made for his keg system but they had a rubber bladder inside to make them work...this has been cut out and removed but containers are still good, a little work and a nice lid could be made for them. I know he has a few hundred of them. Once gone they are gone so if any of you are interested let me know.
Might even be able to make rinse jugs out of them, all Ss with a pressed in PVC type ring that can have lid adapted to them.
20.00 bucks is all he is wanting for them.

Nothing nicer than ss all cleaned up, some have some minor scrtches but easily buff out with green sctoch brite pads going with the grain of the metal.
I have been wanting a nice storage bucket for my dirty rags and such so when I saw them I asked, I said I would post them on the forum maybe some of you might be interested in them.
I was even thinking of storing my upholstery tool in one of them to keep it out of harms way??

How much pressure will they hold with a solid lid?

Put a copper coil in the middle and you have an engine coolant heat exchanger.

Like the Devastator filter idea. Huge, uncloggable filter potential, if the thing can handle the enormous suction without collapsing.

I don't want to hear about the tool inside, but I have been wanting a nice protected place to put it. My damn neck has got me all screwed up, but I am going to reorganize my van have several ideas that I want to do, one is build some Ss shelving that will hold these containers, I think it will look very very clean after all is put together. I am going to be moving my legend a little bit to give me a little more room to make it all happen. Just haven't had the time, winter is coming up and I usually can get a few days to tackle projects hoping my neck gets better to do it dang it
Still have a little room for some upholstery bushes and mics stuff, maybe put a carry strap to make it nice and easy to carry in to the house.

You are correct but these are just going to go to scrap Tim has been holding on to them because SS metal is really down right now so he just has them sitting till prices go up to turn them in.
He said if guys want more he will give discount.

I can't believe you bought that tool. I'ts everything you stand against.
A cheap knock off that only cleans clean fabric.
I told you the story behind it....I went to a CAD at ProLine they didn't have any SS ones this was the ONLY one left, and all I had was one of those POS open jet stair, car, wanna be upholstery tools that sprays water everywhere, and I have a account that said yes go ahead and clean any furniture that needs it.
As stated I need somewhere to store it as I don't do furniture but for this account. I did borrow Damons SS before I got this one, I don't like the dial that is located 3 feet away from tool...that thing got stuck under furniture it really was a pain and then the sleave would come off and expose the dial.
I said when this one breaks I will buy SS it just hasn't broke yet.
I will take the lashing for it, I needed a tool and that was the only choice.

Jeezz, you'd think the person behind the $1700 wand could afford a better upholstery tool...

:stir: I'm just razzin ya Tommy Boy! I have not used that tool... I'd love some of those SS buckets... But shipping would probably kill me... If you can do a USPS boat I'll grab a few...
