The air flow on that wand is so much more improved that the drag of the slot glide is too much for my old back to manage over extended periods. Even the holed is a bit taxing, but much improved.

At 53 I needed this easier.

And what I mean by easier, I didn't damage the old glide taking it off.

Or boil the new one to get it on!

You know for the 50 plus crowd and every year past that it gets harder not easier,

Pushing any wand is hard. But Toms wand with a slot glide and a 47 blower is probably something you ought to try before naming one a wuss!

I'm pushing a prochem quad with a 56 blower no glide. My shoulder hurts I have carpal tunnel and my elbows ache.

And I'm 53 now.

In my early years, I pushed a prochem quad like that with just a 36blower, and it was stupid. It was before the glides were in existence. You either need to get a glide, or get a mach15 wand. You shoulder and back will thank you. Plus, your carpet will get cleaner, because you'll push the wand slower in the first forward pass.

Don't lie, you know you're throwing it out there before you pull it back to you. That's the only way to use that wand if it locks down on carpet.

I still use that wand sometimes, because, on those commercial floors with some wavy concrete, the 15inch wand has trouble getting a good connection. So that's when I'll bring out the quad

It is a great wand but it will kickurassukitakis on a daily basis.

You don't have to throw it just lower it.

I'm asking because I obviously don't know and haven't had a chance to use this wand but will the hole glides defeat the purpose of the design?

The quad was one of the worst wands out there. At 11 inches wide it was stupid to use let alone not being able to push it.

Yes I need a better wand. My aches are as much from working for Genny as from cleaning carpet. I did tear my shoulder up in my 30s too.

I don't want to have to vacuum

I always vacuum but I know I'm not going to get everything out ... especially the deep soils that I would think will take pre-spray, time, agitation and extraction... so would want my wand to remove the stuff the vacuum missed. Thinking hybrid glides...or the wand just becomes a tool to cut in or groom with. IMO
Will know more after Mikey Fest since it will no longer be theory as will use someone's devastator wand there....along with everything else... except the Bently Pro because they woosed out on an honest appraisal at a show where their tool would actually get use on dirty carpet.

If you don't want to have to vacuum, then the Mach15 is the best for you. It has the biggest opening with the glides and it won't kill your shoulder. But keep the prochem on the van with you. It has the best flushing even if it kills your shoulder.
