@Larry Cobb answer @Desk Jockey ! I agree thermal plastic is the best and safest. I'm sure you will keep us updated. My last Parker just now started the pin hole leaks. I had to buy some hydro force steel braided in a pinch.. good hose but not Parker.

It did not come from Joe B.

It is the 1st fiber-braided hose I've seen rated for 250 degrees F.

It has a new inner tube.

Pricing has not been set,

but I expect it to be in the high $80's for 50 ft.

Tested the flexibility this morning.

It bends easier,

and is less springy than Parflex.

I need an large Hi-Heat TM to test it out,

maybe somebody in town, who rebuilds Vortex units . . .

Another characteristic I noticed when comparing to wire-braid hose . . .

is more flexibility when under pressure.

The cover is polyurethane, which is several times more durable than the rubber on wire-braid hose.

P.S. Bristors thermoplastic hose is only rated to 1275 PSI.

the hose doesnt need strain relief if you use the right connetors. a 45 degree angle at the machine and wand makes the solution hose not fighting gravity and easier to clear furniture in houses and condos.

The problem with thermoplastics and butlers is the small diameter center real. After two weeks you have a 150 foot slinky. Last one I had coiled itself under the van and burnt a hole mid way thru a job. Good thing I carry extra everything in the van.

I hate dragging around three or four loops that keep banging into the wall and furniture.

The nice part is you get the pinhole leaks before the hose bursts.

I have used 3/8 inch wire braided solution hose since 1978. No coil
problem. Flexible.

3000 PSI working pressure.

But the main advantage is the higher 250 degree F temp rating,

increased flexibility ,

and lower heat loss (compared to wire braid) .

What colors does it come in?

Running dual wands I need my 2 sets of incoming hoses (2 vac hoses, 2 high-pressure lines) to be different colors so we can tell them apart inside where we are cleaning.

I don't like steel braid because of the high heat we sometimes clean with (over 225º). Steel braid will burn your legs and arms/hands when working with it, fabric braid won't burn you.

I drug parflex around for 2 years. Found I had to coil it up in large diameter loops (like 3ft plus) so it didn't lay like a slinky. Slinky loops were a non starter, for me that is. Tried cranking it on my reel a couple times, big mistake for laying it out on the job. The weight difference from steel braid was awful nice but securing 3 coils with bungee wasn't as easy and tidy then cranking steel braid on a reel. I have a 25ft section that has lasted 8+ years; use almost daily right at the machine. Amazing. If there was a super skinny reel attached to my reg. hose reel to wind it up with that would be plus for me to use it again.
