Homemade Slime

After making this stuff with my daughter for a year or so, I finally had some to clean. Cheap nylon carpet in a apartment, whole batch of home made slime walked into the carpet. First off the stain was waterproof, prespray did nothing. Solvent helped out a little but carpet with heat and solvent started getting weak. Homemade slime is manly elmers glue. Has any body run into this yet?

Yes...we use power gel and carpet shark.. but sometimes it's impossible to remove all of it.

I don't make promises. Takes a long time to get it out... I think I need to practice my patch repair skill cause it would be quicker that way..

Covered with a steamy damp towel for 10 minutes or so. Continued to hit the towel with some steam to keep it damp and hot. This softened the glue.

Then scraped a lot. Cleaned the remainder with Avenge Pro and All Solv Xtreme.

People use all different recipes. I can get Elmer's glue out, but sometimes nothing works for me on the slime.
