November 1977 started my official path as a professional cleaner. Albeit, the picture back then may not give evidence of it. That's me on the right. Not to be confused with Robert Redford:

Started in business with a Steam Genie truck-mount in this Ford. I had a heater in this rig as can been seen vented out the side over the rear tire. Why you ask? Because winter was coming in Michigan and the truck parked outside.

Starting out in business, no one knew who we were. So, I picked a name everyone knew. Thus, they thought they heard of us before and felt comfortable working with us. Ann Arbor Michigan is the home of the University of Michigan aka Wolverines.

The following year we upgraded the carpet cleaning rig with a box on a Toyota chassis. I drove to Jackson Mississippi to get the first one. It had swing out doors. That one caught on fire and I replaced it with a newer version as seen here:
