With Coit it was huge, lots of over time and Sundays.

Too many heathens, travelers and Ofers in Santa Cruz to ever to amount to anything

But here in Picklesville I think I may see a spurt of activity this year..

How about your town?

Usually more of a rush at thanksgiving. Already booked out till the Tuesday before

Will have another bump before Xmas but usually done the week before the Holiday. Everyone is decorated and they don’t want to move things around.

Yes Christmas and Thanksgiving and then nothing after New Years.

Everyone cleans up for the holidays so the relatives and friends don't see how dirty they are all year long.
Ohhh by the way I need to clean my own carpet this week.

Yeah!! A rush of Flakes that is.

People want to get stuff cleaned before the holidays but over extend themselves with their time or money and end up cancelling or rebooking several times.
A day's schedule will fall apart and sometime rebuild up during that same day.
A big waste of time for the Super Agents.

I take the insult................(as a badge of honor) but could you please translate, so that I know more precisely why I should be insulted :winky:

Oh, and there's always a rush of holidays procrastinators. I'm getting so many calls from John's rejects that I had to let people know on my recorded voicemail that we have no openings till after Thanksgiving.

We stay busy up until Christmas holiday...than after that, calls to come clean up after the relatives (or live Nativity scenes  )

January, things plunge into deep freeze, and we slow down, Feburary, we survive....almost....

March we hope things start to warm up Fast....

April....we hope getting nice and things take off and we stay busy up until the same....

Now....off to plan my winter get away to the warmer climates :)

First the retailers now MB.

My last three or four calls specifically asked for before Thanksgiving. No Christmas rush yet.

Whats a good way to advertise to people need to clean before and after their saturnalia festivities? And of course, celebration of the butchered turkey..

4am and acid reflux has me awake. So here I surf until the Pepcid takes effect.

Just now starting to get the "Rush". I still have a few holes to fill on the schedule for next week, but i'm not worried about it.

Seriously?

How many booked already for December?
It’s me solo at 3 jobs a day. I cry if Michelle gives me 4 (I’m off Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve) I’m focused on booking our premium clients for next year in advance. I don’t like sending the good ones away.

charge a non refundable reservation deposit, and that stops real quick.

I did that before-- got ridiculed on MB about it.. some customers didn't like it.
It had also increased my time spent on bookkeeping and booking the appointment.

charging a deposit is difficult to do if you are the only company doing it. I was hoping more companies would jump in and start doing it--but they never did.

I think there are some things we need to just deal with. Its the cost of doing business. Not every problem can be solved. Sometimes you just need to take a firm stance and get kicked in the nuts.
It’s not the problem, it’s how you deal with it.

I don’t care what anyone thinks, my time is money. And that’s how I feed my family. If a client won’t reserve they will most likely flake. Repeat or seniors don’t require deposits.
