Heading to Pittsburgh for an FPA job. Wouldn't normally travel this far, but she is an interior designer heard about us from a fabric company rep who heard about us from designers in the Philly area. She contacted me a few months back. I tried finding someone out that way to help her, but we have no FPA people out there. We are still the only ones in PA.

I told her I may be in the area in the coming months and would let her know - I wanted to head out to take Jim's upholstery class. She contacted me again when I was in AZ for Mikey's Fest. Really wanted it done before the holidays.

I've been wanting to head out that way for some time to visit with Jim Pemberton, so I was able to kill two birds with one stone. This should be fun. First time I'm doing an FPA application with out the guys!

Practice makes perfect

Error on the side of caution and under apply, a 10 hour trip to go groom it out would blow.

Not a fabric to groom.

She sent me sample swatch that I treated 1/2 and sent back to her to test.

And she’s not getting any type of warranty. She already has someone that cleans for her that I put her in touch with through Jim. She as other pieces that were improperly cleaned by SS and browning. If she has an issue I’m sure I can call on him to help Her out.

The cleaners she uses now will be ideal to take care of this furniture whenever it does need to be cleaned. I should have thought to arrange for you to meet with Dan and Jen when you are here Meg, but they have a commitment Saturday anyway. They are two of my best fine fabric people, and they are great at stone restoration as well.

Should you visit again, I'll be sure to get you introduced.

Pit stop for the night.....stopped 1/2 way to visit a friend. Grabbing a drink and late dinner.

Will pick up the rest of the trip tomorrow and stay in Pittsburgh tomorrow night. Booked a hotel in the waterfront district. They have an entrainment complex, shopping and eateries. Looking forward to checking out the dueling piano bar.

The waterfront area is cool.

Lots of bars and shopping. Go ride that elevator up the hillside. Drop water out and tell me if it splashes in the river. :winky:

@jwfoulk12 was in my route to this job and has to drop his new rig to Jim for the install. And he’s interested in joining FPA and wants to see what it’s about before pulling the trigger. So it made sense for us to partner up.

Trifecta for me. Job....helping a fellow MB’r get hiss new rig set up, possible FPA recruit and visiting with my mentor, Jim Pemberton.

How about ATV's? or are they too prone to turn overs?

don't know if any more or less prone .
but the lack of roll cage and belt/harness can make the difference between walking out or life flight out

I have a good friend that's seriously disabled for life now
Happened 6-7 years ago
Wasn't even tearing it up all that much....simply hooked a rut and flipped the quad on himself

if roll cage and harness, he'd of walked away
