How would you go about cleaning these and what would you charge? This is at a VFW that went nonsmoking. There's probably 2000 sf of this stuff.

Call ICWC International Ceiling and Wall Cleaning has a product that was designed just for that purpose. Just spray on and wipe the grid with sponges.
There is another product that is similar called Renew. Tom at Modernistic has that. I prefer the ICWC

What are their expectations? It could be that you can remove the smoke and dirt but it still remain stained. Is that going to be good enough?

What is it glued to? I'm thinking no machine, all spray and hand cleaning

Vacuum, mist lightly with Prochem's UltraPac Renovate (its killer on smoke or nicotine and grease) terry towel the residue away. I'd start at the bottom and work up to avoid any runs.

Charge? I'd gusstimate how long is it going to take to clean by hand. Decide on how much you want to make per hour during that time and then divide by the 2,000 sq/ft. So lets say you want to make $150.00 an hour per man (spray bottle and towels) and its going to take 4 hours to clean. Thats $600.00 or .30 sq/ft
