I saw where the WP 0530 comes in titanium. I might have to order one soon.I've used the same prochem titanium my entire career but my second choice would be an 802/aw29
My new TM came with an aw29. Just waiting on a glide. It’s pretty lightweight.I've worn out an 802 and 5 or 6 Aw29s.
Tom's Dev is next, it can be Justin's inheritance.
Just waiting on a glide.
I saw a Hydra Hoe in the storage shed the other day. Its was missing the valve and water line. There was a UT 40 in that pile too. Ohhh the 70's!View attachment 77272 I know some of y’all Mikey’s board millionaires are still pushing an old school wand. Fes up. Who’s still pushing an 802 or a aw29 or a Hydrahoe?Be proud!
don't need a glide on it
cleans much better without one
350 psi with a pair of 03 jets.
been saying it for 20 years..
The AW29 if one of the greatest wands in the history of the world .
Light, nimble, affordable and cleans as well as the best
anyone that says different is clueless or a pack following magjoon that doesn't know sheeit from shineola

I use a 1 1/2 and a 2" Hydra Hoe. Haven't found any other wand I like. They are good wands.
Not all hydrahoe are the same. I used one from 1984 to 1995 then it got stolen out of my van as I was on a job, testing out an aw29. I immediately bought another one but it was lighter and didn't seem to have the same angle as the old one. I could never get used to it and eventually sold it. I have used tons of aw29's and found them very useable, some steamway wands with heat shields, very heavy. Currently in love with my mach 12. I also have a 2 inch westpak which cleans awesome, an 802, not fussy on it, might be ok with a glide. Still have a couple of aw29's for back up. Saving my pennies for one of Tom's 1.5 inch swivel.
The flat Teflon glide lets the wand get a little more bite on the carpet compared to the rounded glides on my other wands. Very light and great airflow.I've considered buying the Mach 12. Looks like a great design.
I've used the hydra hoe, the 802 with the black glide, the mach 12, prochem quad, and the aw29 look alike. Out of my experience, being tall, you need to dump that hydrahoe. I had to borrow my friend's tm a few years ago, and that's all he had. I was abusing my whole upper body. I felt so sore and fatigued for a whole week. I don't know how a shorter person's body adapts to that wand, but for tall people...that wand is totally outdated.
Now if I had to choose between an 802 or a mach12...I'd choose the 802, only because the mach12 made jet marks on the carpet when I pushed it forward. I tried to adjust the jets every way to fix it and I couldn't fix the problem.
The $125 aw29 got the job done. I used it in my very early years, so I have no clue how well the carpet dried. My tm wasn't properly set during that time, so I'm not too sure how well my setup even did a job.
Now for anyone using a prochem quad...it cleans the carpet AWESOME, but you're abusing your body. You're literally making almost twice the wand passes (shoulder wear), and it locks on the carpet more (hip wear), and if you put a slotted glide on it, you're losing your suction. I recommend getting another wand as soon as possible to save your body. And if $$$ is tight, the Mach15 is the best buy for a good wand. Your body will thank you
I believe PMF made the original Hoe wand and those are the ones I buy when I need one.

as good or better than the "hi-tech" whoopty-doo wands that need to blow 450-550 psi to clean as well as an unglided AW29 at 350
most guys don't/won't or can't make the time to do proper side by side evaluations on chems and equipment.
Do yourself a favor, don't be one of them ...or you'll be doomed to be a pack following parrot of the flavor de jour

I would still have a flip phone if all these idiots would quit emailing me
I have a 802 but not really fond of it and I have been debating getting a aw-29 for the last month
Prefer a new wand but not a chino or vietCONG wand at a decent price.
eBay $155-195 brand new plus shippingProbably that's what they're going for. I'll check interlink they probably want $700
