Not yet but my auxillary solution fitting was leaking and when I took it apart all three nipple were broke. It would've blasted me in the chest had they blown.

I capped them off instead of putting the qd back on.

I've had it happen on a very high heat unit I used to own. Used to get up to 280 f at the truck. Taught me to regularly cut of the ends and a foot of hose and put new ends on it. Inspect your hoses at your ends and replace as soon as it seems to be a little soft. Use hose protectors at both ends. I have never had a hose burst in the middle anywhere.

When I was in the hospital my daughter and SIL had a bad one. TX tm with no heat control. Had to open side valve on wand to lower heat, they misjudged. Nobody hurt, 200 cleanup.

When I ran propane heat my last TM I would blow steel braided from time to time. Then every six months I started moving the 1st 50 ft section (next to the wand) back 50' and the last section I toss. Never had a problem since.

I should say that expensive plastic crap failed on me within a month of buying it every time.

Can you be specific? Are you talking about par flex or another brand? You're the first one I've seen to complain about the plastic braided kind

"a steady diet of 240" See, that's the what gets lost in translation in this biz. I had two 50' sections of Parflex that got 240-250 ATM with no fluctuation and one of them failed (at the machine) after approx 1 month; 240-250 degrees and 500 psi. On commercial tile jobs I blew brand new Goodyear steel braided with 250 degrees and 1,200-1,300 psi. It's not junk hose, just not engineered for high temp continuous and 1k psi and above. For a year on my commercial tile I went to 3/8" high temp pressure washer hose and my problems went away. I'm sure everyone experiences something different but a will say that average truck mounts don't stay max'd out at their rated temps (like 220-240) especially when you start hopping on the triggers whether it be wands or rotaries.

BTW, I'm not saying Parker can't or hasn't failed .
Just that's it's not instant without waning or potentially catastrophic
Gives LOTS of warning signs (bubbled jacket, then pin sprays) long before complete failure ...and I've never had one side split like Goodyear

I've mostly used Continental or Goodyear and never had one bust. Now that I have a propane unit I will definitely be replacing it more than every 4 or 5 years.

Running high heat (steam way) and not replacing your hose when you knew it and had the brand new one on your front seat but wanted to finish the last few apartments....not me a customer who came in and shared these so I can share them when someone argues that their hoses last several years and I’m just trying to sell new hose
