So we made this infographic for our blog. It got us a lot of traffic and back links, and I think it is filled with some cool facts as well. Just wanted to give you guys some ideas in case you're looking to do something similar. We have been really reaching for ideas about how to create quality content, as it's tough for a carpet cleaning company to really catch people's attention. We posted some good articles about avoiding scams and looking for indoor mold, but this infographic has done the best for us. Let me know what you think. What topics have worked for you guys?

Yeah, educational seems to be the easiest route to go. It promotes good learn-able content. Thanks for the praise.

I would post a link, Steve, but I don't think My account is old enough to yet. We posted the infographic on a location-based site, so it's not the same domain as the URL on the infographic.

We do have a larger version, though. I'll try to reach out to the mods to see what they say.

She's not the first person to respond that way, Justin. The funny thing is we cut out a few statistics for being "too gross"!

I showed that to my wife. She said “ that makes me want to rip out the carpet.”
Yep, and that's what people do when they see things like this.

A better approach might be that carpet and other textiles are the "healthy guardians" of your home, until they fill up. Then it's time to get them back in shape so they can continue to trap unhealthy dust and pollen. Your infographics could then be a lot more positive.

You're right. That approach makes a lot of sense. We may need to start taking that angle.

It truly is.

Without carpet to trap and filter contaminants, you become the filter. So now all the bad stuff you're trying to avoid by installing hard flooring is going to be processed by YOUR respiratory system. GENIUS! :errf:

Yep I tell respiratory problem prone customers that their house generally has 3 filters, soft furnishings, vacuum cleaner and their lungs. Let me take care of your soft furnishings, buy a decent vac and your lungs have more chance taking care of themselves.. cough cough dammit!
