So which is the best available stair tool?

Open stairs, switch tools. Brass we would use an upholstery tool...and charge more since it takes more time.
We have far too many tools..far too many.

You need to try that long handled stair tool that Olsen sells. Its like a cut down wand. Its a flushing dragon!

carried a couple different ones on the truck (plus the 4" PMF internal flood jet tool)
Greenie LOOONNG 2" tool
(Cody liked it and grabbed it first.... me not so much)
and the other one that I preferred when wand couldn't be used easily/effectively





for a grip 'n rip thru steps , the mid size tool was better for me (when wand wasn't practical)
But noting is a as dexterous to roll over a bullnose heavily soiled with dog knee traffic than a short hand tool
cleans better, more control ...simply the best ...period

I won't argue with anyone that thinks different
...I'll just snicker and giggle behind their back for being stoopit .....

if using the SS....geeze-o-pete , no wonder it takes so long
The best upl specific tools are great for flat fabic, but pretty poor to quickly, efficiently and thoroughly clean soiled cut piles

PMF swivel stair tool for the last 20 years. No need for a glide on a stair tool. Only thing I don't like about it is I had to add a fitting from the hardware store to lengthen the solution hose so it would swivel all the way (everyone I've talked to has done it) . And although it's a 1 1/2 inch tube it narrows down to 1 inch after the swivel. Hence my call out to PMF to make it a 2 inch tube and then it will narrow down to a 1 1/2 tube at the swivel.

BUT PMF NEVER LISTENS TO US CARPET CLEANERS ARE THEY STOOPID?


And NO I won't pay for a new stair tool for $900 like some of you idiots who paid $1800 for a wand.

I'd never disrespect the Sapphire tool like that. The Prochem, it won't hurt it but not fond of the jet streaks on carpet.

Give me a reason to want a swivel for a straight handle stair tool.

I'll give you a reason NOT to want a swivel.
-when you spin the tool around manually without a swivel to clean the risers, you use your biceps and forearm muscles to pull the tool up. A much more natural method that uses stronger muscles to pull it up, which will prevent less fatigue and will be just as fast as a tool with a swivel

Yeah Matt and Ofer you are wrong. If you are going to have a longer handle the stair tool should have a swivel. It' more maneuverable, cause less pain in your shoulders and less wear and tear on the whip hose.

I am speaking from experience as I have all types of stair tool. OMG swivel Seager style gets my thumps up.

Haha I just took the feather touch valve off my bane stair tool to put on my floor wand.
I've thought about going back to it because of the two jets and 4 inch width but the prochem stair tool keeps my knees dry.

never used a swivel stair tool, but makes sense the operator can reach square into left or right rear corners without changing body/shoulder/arm position

Not sure about the risers

I do wonder though......do the yawks that spend near $1000 bukz for a stair tool have more money than brains?

What areas I can’t squeeze with my tool

I pipe with my whip after a a quick blast of steam!

The whip can take some torque flipping it but I grab the wand and whip in one hand to help support the hose!

when you're a young fit man in your prime years (25 to 45) it ain't sheeit to work a wand on steps
Hit fiddy with 25+ years on the wand ..... manhandling that big wand w/2" hose feels like a WHOLE LOT more o' chore

Stairs are considered detail work requiring a detail tool!

Some cleaners are broke dicks who won’t pay for a second tool.

That said I bought the Prochem tool 24 in for $350.00 hated it!

Got a mini Aw29 2 jet I used for year loved it!

Ps my supplier bought my pc tool
back off me for $50.00


I like using whip
With a vinyl cuff for the bull nose

The big plus on a wand is to zip through the steps fast cover more ground.

And try piping the bull nose with a 2 inch cool cuff!

It will pinch the hell out of your hand!

The tools I use now are great on bull noses if angled correctly.

I’m just not gonna through out another tool to by the next best thing!

I’m old and have to retire too!

Not fund everybody else’s retirement!
