Not to throw rocks or talk down but that scale is really interfering with the Butler/Hydro force potential.
If you use soft water you will see a dramatic difference in your cleaning agents and the need to descale as frequently. We descale twice a year and get very little scale build up.

I have a water softener in my shop/garage
And the last time I descaled was 2-3 years ago
Before that .... never and the units are 13 and 15 years old
Throw all the rocks you want, I'm made of steel and Butlers can't be damaged

Some areas have more mineral content with the harder water and found that the higher heat units caused scale build up quicker.
We have water Softeners in the shop and on the vans typically but with the internet and communicating with many around the country (heck sometimes world conversations) I have discovered a lot about water quality.

So I’m wondering in I have a 120 gal fresh water tank would adding a couple 2-3 scoops help???
