This happened a while back but the Mother F thread reminded me of this.
I found a nice tape-measure a while back. Threw it in my truck.
A careless employee then proceeds to chip a glass table top in an office--a big one. Gotta replace it so I take measurements with my new tape-measure so I can have it made. I bring the new glass table top in to replace the chipped one and, mother f, it's a little small! WTF moment for sure. I check the tape measure and it's feet and 10th's of feet, not inches! Ha!
Yeah, we remeasured with the right tool and it came out okay. Just expensive.
