I could pick on a few things, but you know, I'd take him any day over the scammers and the IDAS guys that run through the job.

He is, in many ways, the typical owner operator who obsesses with doing the best job with only an IICRC class (the whole grooming explanation is word for word from a now retired trainer I knew well) and some on line industry exposure.

Invite him here Mike.

I bet he would fit right in ....

Is it just me, or does the carpet not look EXACTLY the same after he’s done? It doesn’t look clean at all. The guy needs something better than a 1 quart pump up to apply protector. After helping out a couple guys last week, it’s a good yard stick to measure my system. No corner guards, no floor protection, no booties, heck, the one guy doesn’t even accept CC’s. Like shooting fish in a barrel....

only made it thru half that
But I'm with Jim...I won't pick nits

If that kid works like that "even when no one is looking" , he's doing a kickazz job

I'll pick out one thing though...
for his good and the rest of you that haven't figured out why your cords look like Marty tails

note the cord on his rotary
twisted like a mofo .
Note how he coils it back up...from plug back to machine
That's what causes them to curl/twist like that on your vac, roto, RE, CRB, sprayer, whatever

unplug and hand coil from/at the tool.
The cord rights it's self when it's loose at the other end as you hand coil
Can't right it's self when coiling back to a connected cord/plug ...and eventually does the twist

I with Mike too...on the hat
He should buy two of them
(ask me why if you don't already know)

Doesn't look any different than when he first started.

Most videos are from doing their own carpet.

I watched it all. At least he’s smart enough to wear $1 gloves from HD. 10 for $10. How could you tell which side of the wand he was on? He was funny!!

I did a job for this group last Saturday, and a few weeks ago. I use RO water for the Cimex, and mix my chems half strength. It actually looked great when finished. After my helper and myself were finished, the guy asked if I could go and give a quote at the local news office. He told me that they wanted us to do the job, they just want something on paper.

As for not looking different, phone cameras seem to see things differently than the eye. One reason I don’t post before and afters is that No matter how it looks, my iPhone sees the worn areas as dark.

Must be a way to screw with the filters and get a true color.

My stupid iPhone always shows me with way less hair than I actually have. My phone always shows worn areas on my head than I think there actually is.
Stupid 21st. Century

Well you’re especially pissy this morning!

I thought that showed considerable tact and restraint myself.

This story is probably apocryphal, but its still good, and is appropriate when it comes to Fred's assessment:

Harry Truman had a habit saying, when referring to people he admired, that they came from "The good manure of the ground" (sort of a farmer's version of "salt of the earth")

When he became president, he persisted in using this type of "compliment", much to the horror of his staff.

One of them finally approached the first lady and begged Bess to use her influence to get him to use a better term of esteem than that.

Her reply was:

"Heavens NO! It took me 20 years to get him to call it manure"

Thus with Fred....he was being kinder than usual.
