I prefer a tube 1/2 that length--you can clean stairs while standing and it gets into tight areas.

I use the PMF swivel stair tool with a #6 jet.

The swivel is the bomb, and with a #6 jet, I get plenty of heat and flushing action!

We use 30inch S Bend stair wands 10 inches wide, with an ergo handle added. Its small so you can get through the tighter spots etc, but also the long ergo handle makes it so you never have to bend over or tire out your back.

1.5 whip hose that is long enough to make it to the bottom of the staircase also makes a big difference.... the velcro stair strap with hook on it you get at jon don just goes in the techs belt loop so he doesnt need to strap the hose to the railing etc

The swivel action on stair wands is entirely different than the GOAT.
