Has anyone ever used a 3 or 6 ton hydraulic bottle jack to lift your van?

I used a 2 ton Bottle jack and jack stands when i had to pull the gas tank on my Express 3500. I felt like I was playing roulette with my life. You should be okay with a 4 ton or bigger. Just use jack stands for safety.
I agree....jack stands are a must. For safety i’d go with 6 ton. I’m not working underneath any vehicle with the heaviest jack. Just want to rotate my tires. The last two clowns that rotated my tires didn’t either tighten enough or not at all. A few miles out I hear a thumbing noise. Pulled over sure enough, lugs were lose on one tire. Two different times on two different vehicles. Can’t trust any of these shops. Mistakes do happen but I’m not taking another chance on such horrible mistakes.

Funny storry... I spent the last couple days using bottle Jack's. Lifted this building 40 inches in the air, backed a 40ft gooseneck under it, then moved it up the road and unloaded.

I thought alot about this if i were to have something heavy, I'd get the forklift bottle neck jack and stand. Which same stuff they use to lift tractor up. Rated for 13 tons or more..
