So far I went from almost 78 reviews down to 58 and these were reviews that stuck for a long time.

It’s like they changed their algorithm to screw paying customers hahahahaha.

I’ve noticed a lot of competition loosing some too.

Any body else seeing a huge loss of reviews on yelp?

Also the douche bag 1 Star review I got from the customer who couldn't hear me popped back up!

@Nomad74 you do realize 99% of yelp business listing are FREE??????

I reviewed my cousin George in Florida, who has no website or pictures to any of these places.

He gets 5 calls a week off google and yelp.

Yelpers will crush you online if you suck!

My guess is the number one sales objection is I can’t compete with all the business that have 100’s of reviews.

Ergo will gut the reviews and start from scratch

They’ve only pulled 5! stars down while bringing back a one star and a three star effectively putting me at 4.5 now.

And they get money out of me!

Ps the one star was poor phone quality related.

He couldn’t hear until I suggested he turn his tv down!

Dude calls at 3pm Saturday for 1 room.

$80 minimum pissed him
Off!

And that I said the soonest was next week.

He had a $40 spot burning a hole in his pocket and couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t run over and get it!

$80 minimum seems a little low Sam. I am $120 minimum in my neighborhood and $150 anywhere else. I don't know what your market is like but sounds like you have room to raise your prices a little.

Sam, where in the heck are you located if you are charging an $80 minimum in California? I'm $150 here in Redding and i'm considering raising it again. The higher minimum really helps weed out the people that demand the most and pay the least. Look at Mikey with his $230+ minimum. It makes sense when you calculate your fixed costs and time.

Our lowest minimum is actually $250 for those centrally located in town. We service a wide outskirt and have minimums from $250-$500 and that sadly barley covers cost of operations, especially considering traffic in our areas. So we have to aim for higher than those minimums and weed out many with tight budget, low income, or college students.

Sam came from a $9.95 for three room upbringing...

Well there’s that!

I was up to 85 minimum. But decided to have a 40.00 per room up to 200 sq ft size limit.

The old $85 was two rooms and a hall.

We hold a $200 job avg so the minimum jobs a far a few between.

I also offer 10% off in three rooms or more.

So people who live discounts will usually go for that.

Still if I were to run solo, I would boost my price and do a lot less work.

I live in Lancaster Ca. Lancaster has the busiest Sheriff station in all of LA county.

Mostly petty theft but ya, there’s a exodus of retirees to other states.

Believe it or not there are plenty of $60 and $40 minimum guys to pick up the real bottom feeders.

Every time I raise my rates I do a little less work with a higher job avg.

Sometimes us one or two van guys lose sight of the fact that you need to keep employees busy, so I understand.
However, if your $200 average isn’t making you money, then you’re chasing your tail.
Since adding Brady, I’ve been tempted to lower my minimum to $100, but I truly think I’d lose money.
I’m not into up selling just for the sake of making a profit

There is always a fear of losing customers when raising prices. I get such a variety of responses when I tell a customer the price. Some say thank you and hang up and others say that's very reasonable. For example, today I did a 1 bedroom apt for $200. The lady was thrilled. Others would think that's highway robbery. I booked a microfibre sofa and chair today for $180.00 and $90 for protector. Didn't blink an eye. I am considered middle of the road for pricing in my area. I think raise you price and advertise your quality.

Closing in 300k this year.

I have a $1000 payment on my pro1200,

And $395 for my other Chevy my 570 is paid for.

Put close to 18k in Iras this year.

And have a good 15 k in saving for the winter.

Not gonna retire a millionaire.

But our house is in a 15 year note and we have a little more the 10 years to go

If the value holds up it will be worth 500k

So I’ll cash out and rent Marty’s basement!

My problem is I started late on the IRA’s hoping they double in the next 7 years and with my continued slamming and SS I won’t starve.

I’m on the Jack Zerkie plan work until I can’t!.

had a nice long talk with my Yelp rep late today.

She's looking for another job...

they ****** her, us and the users with no explanation to any.

Companies are canceling campaigns left and right and she's receiving serious threats to her well being..

All in all Santa Cruz has benefited as we had two or three get within a few reviews, now the closest is 35 or so behind us.

Nevada on the other hand went from 20 or so showing, down to 6.

I copied all my hidden reviews and made them photos on that page as well as on my FB and Google pages.
I'll be canceling the $300 a month I spend in NV.

and really pushing Google reviews...

Do you have employees?

One $16.50 an hour 27 year old that runs my 570

And two vacuuming crbing hose pullers on call!

Also last year my commercial auto insurance paying in full was $1100 less then monthly payments.

We paid in full.
