lol. Yeah, I'm just a little bit more than out of touch with these things. Just couldn't imagine what the specific purpose would be, but it piqued my interest because it cost more and the rpms were higher.

I seldom use a rotary anymore, but when I do, it’s set on the lower speed
I just got a dual speed to be like jimmy.

I use the dual speed. Blew out the 175 speed so now just use the 300 for bonnet cleaning. I prefer it the higher speed anyway.

I use the lower speed for tile as it doesn't throw slurry around as much, but prefer the higher speed on carpet

Another Southerner? Please, tell me more. I'm by no means a rookie but was out of the biz for awhile. I started cleaning carpet in the late 80's.

Anyone have one of those? Do you use the 300 rpms often, and for what purpose?
I’ve got an OLD General variable speed. The things got to be 30 plus years old. It’s beat to hell, and covered in old floor wax..... but I tell ya, EVERYTIME I’ve used it, it works well. And yes, I run it anywhere from 175- to 350...depends....

If you're a hard surface PROFESSIONAL you have a crb, a 175 with various pads and a Nylagrit brush, pole brushes and hand brushes on hand...and a jug of acid at all times!!

Marty is a Hard Surface Duface, dont listen to him.

If the OP already has a RV 360 how good is the tile head?
