Mark, since you've got a house in Florida,
have you considered closing down up north and working in Florida during this cold season and going back up north during decent weather time?
And in the past: Have you ever tried that in the past? Working only in the normal weather time of the year and staying closed during this time?
I'm just going south.
We also hired on our daughter to take over phones and scheduling as we move them into taking over the business. Wife staying back here month of January (she's now having second thoughts)
Business came to a screaching halt with Christmas. Will see what can be drummed up for business. But it has been my wife and my plan to be less involved in the future (sooner...

) as we semi retire a bit.
With Aron and Jena (our daughter) being young, this established business will still be huge for them to inherit.
They are also not going anywhere with family here and they still enjoy winter activities and the healthy and safe environment and schools here.
There is business even in the winter months, just less and we do not want to do restoration work (again) so we just need to budget and save for the slow time and enjoy it. Son in law can snowmobile more....
We are bringing family members and Grandbabies south for a week at a time, so we are taking the moment to enjoy the moments.
My brothers have talked about backing off their business and maybe shut down for couple months but there are some regular accounts for all of us we want to take care of as we do make money from them especially during busy season.
The brothers are actually working to take care of each other's accounts while one travels and they have a person who they have been absorbing that can do that while they are both gone at the same time.
I have our guys in place. It's just making sure they make a living too...
