not as bad in Wisconsin but you warm weather guys have to understand that when it gets really bad, people are understanding and its not a problem to reschedule. Its not crazy busy in winter anyway so we can get it rescheduled in a timely manner. Have had my share of shoveling sidewalks and no, its not an added service. Sometimes the first appointment of the day Im out there with the homeowner shoveling. I dont mind. They do appreciate the moving blankets to protect the hard floors, door guards, etc.

Its really not so bad.

Rule of thumb for me is that if the weather is bad enough to close the schools, I dont go out.

Also as an O/O I know Im out of business if the truck ends up in the shop so its pretty much a logical decision.

We try not to shovel for them. When we call to check on the appointment, we confirm their drive and steps are clear and accessible. We explain we don't want the hoses to freeze going through snow.

Unfortunately when its WDR or FDR we can be dealing with unoccupied homes and we will clear the driveway. We will also salt and sand so no employees slip and fall while processing the job.

It was 50 today in the horrible state of New Jersey. Beautiful ... 40 all next week. Last year end of December and January were extremely cold. Highs in the teens. Single digits at night. I hate winter and snow/ice/wind. Hate it....
Last year we were - 28 degrees below zero most of December.

Lucky its just starting to get crazy cold

Yeah unfortunately this was a rental and the owner 3.5 hours south in Minneapolis MN.

We needed to get it done for them that day to prepare for next people moving in.

Things don't stop even with blizzard and cold in Northern Minnesota
